![]() I do not ask for more than what I have and only purchase things that have an applicable use or are beneficial for me in the long term. If I do not use something or do not have a use for it then it makes me unhappy to have it. ![]() I follow a loose idealism of minimalism, and find the most happiness in things that I use. ![]() To begin I want to talk about the material perception of happiness that many become obsessed with. Having goals and a concept to work toward is the best way to be happy, In many ways this happiness through ideas. Happiness comes in many forms for many different people, such as material and social. This could also be called analysis paralysis, I will explain how this has affected me later, and how it applies to Darrin’s work. Darrin states that the more you ask yourself if you are happy the less happy you become. Mcmahon’s writing, “In Pursuit of Unhappiness,” Darrin Mcmahon dictates that your happiness is dependent upon a goal or idea that you move towards and not asking yourself if you are happy. ![]()
